Linda Wertheimer Hart is Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hart Group, Inc., a diversified group of companies involved in insulation manufacturing and investments. She is also Chairman of Imation Corp. (NYSE: IMN), a leading global digital storage products, audio and video electronics and accessories company. In addition to being a director of each of the Hart Group companies and Chairman of Imation, Ms. Hart is currently, or has been, a member of a variety of outside Boards, including the following:

For the 24 years prior to joining the Hart Group in 1990, Ms. Hart was engaged in the private practice of law in Dallas, Texas, specializing in corporate and securities matters. While continuing her legal practice in Dallas, Ms. Hart also served as outside consultant to the Securities and Exchange Commission, Washington, D.C. and as a Visiting Professor at Stanford Law School. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (B.S. cum laude 1962) and Southern Methodist University Law School (L.L.B. 1965). Ms. Hart has been a member of the American Bar Association House of Delegates and has written and lectured frequently throughout the country on corporate and securities law subjects.

Ms. Hart served on the NYSE Special Study on Self Regulation and is Chairman Emeritus of the University of California Securities Regulation Institute. She is a member of the Committee of 200 and is Past President of International Women’s Forum – Dallas.

Valerie Freeman

CEO, Imprimis Group, Inc.

Valerie Freeman is the founder and CEO of Dallas-based Imprimis Group, Inc., a leading supplier of staffing, recruiting, human resource and outsourcing services. Imprimis operates under the brand names Imprimis Staffing, Bravo Technical Resources, Art Squad, Freeman+Leonard, Mature Personnel and Third Party Pay. Imprimis provides its services to approximately 600-700 customers a year in 36 states. Prior to founding Imprimis in 1982, Freeman was on the faculty in the Business Division at El Centro College, part of the Dallas County Community College District.

Imprimis has been named one of the largest independently owned staffing services in Texas. Imprimis was named Women’s Business Enterprise of the Year by the Women’s Business Council of the Southwest and Valerie received the Athena Award from the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Valerie was also honored as one of the 25 most influential women in business by the Dallas Business Journal. She is also past recipient of the National Association of Women Business Owners “National Business Owner of the Year”, Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year”, and Women’s Business Enterprise National Council’s “Business Star”.

Valerie is also a founder and Board member of two for-profit organizations, ANSERTEAM, LLC, a national staffing company and the Texas Women Ventures Fund, which makes investments in women-owned companies. Prior to this, she was a founder and Board member of Resource Bank and Texas Capital Bank.

Valerie has served on many boards of civic and business organizations over her 30-year career and has been instrumental in founding many others. She is the immediate Past Chairman of the Board of the Dallas County Community College District Foundation as well as a current Board member of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and Women's Business Council of the Southwest where she chairs the Audit Committee. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Women's Enterprise Publications, and the Steering Committees of the Executive Women's Roundtable and the Dallas Chapter of Women Corporate Directors. She is a member of Executive Women of Dallas, the Dallas Summit, Dallas Assembly, Leadership Texas Alumnae, World President's Organization, YPO Alumnae, and International Women's Forum.

Valerie holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Houston where she was honored as Distinguished Alum.

Matrice Ellis-Kirk

Partner, Heidrick & Struggles

Matrice Ellis-Kirk is a Managing Partner at Heidrick & Struggles. She recently completed two years in a North America corporate role leading the Client Service Organization. As a member of the Management Committee, she streamlined internal processes and is launching the Diversity Advisory Services practice. Her current search work focuses on the CEO and Board practice, Consumer Retail and Private Equity.

Matrice is active within the business and civic communities, serving on a number of boards, including UT Southwestern Medical Foundation, The Dallas Center for the Performing Arts and the University of Pennsylvania Board of Visitors. She has served on a number of boards for public companies including Chancellor Media and ACE Cash Express.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Matrice spent several years with another international recruiting firm based in Chicago. There she conducted senior level assignments for business-to-consumer companies. She also has experience across multiple industries involving different functional roles including operations and finance.

Prior to a career in search, Matrice spent several years as Vice President and Office Manager of Apex Securities, a Texas-based investment banking firm. Previously, she worked as Director of the Office of Management and Budget with Dallas Area Rapid Transit and earlier with MBank Dallas in several banking roles.

Matrice holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She and her husband, Ron, have two children, Elizabeth and Catherine.

Renee Hornbaker

Chief Financial Officer, Shared Technolodies



Renee Hornbaker is on the Board of Eastman Chemical Company, a Fortune 500 business. She serves as Chair of its Audit Committee and on the Finance and Health, Safety, Environment and Security Committees. She is currently Chief Financial Officer of Shared Technologies Inc., a telecommunications infrastructure business that is a Fortune 100 Best Company to work for. Previously, she was a consultant in mergers and acquisitions, strategy and profitability improvement and Chief Financial Officer of Flowserve Corporation. Before that Renee was with Phelps Dodge Corporation and the Circle K Corporation. She also served as a Senior Audit Manager with Deloitte & Touche. Renee is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Masters of Business Administration in Accounting and Bachelor of Arts in English from Indiana University. Renee is a board member of the Dallas Chapters of the National Association of Corporate Directors and Financial Executive International and is also a member of the Dallas Chapter of Women Corporate Directors. She serves on the advisory committees for the CFO Roundtable and Women's Studies Programs for the Institute for Excellence in Corporate Governance.
